Come October, Oxfam’s nationwide festival Oxjam returns with a month of gigs across the country to raise money for the charity. Open to anyone with a penchant for altruism and a love for music, the 700+ gigs are all organised by volunteers, throwing their hats into the ring to join the Oxjam movement. More than 6,000 volunteers, 6,000 musicians and 180,000 audience members will enable Oxjam to raise at least £400,000 for Oxfam’s important work around the world.
To kick off the festival, we’ve been working with Oxfam to produce the launch event series in a secret East London location. We’ll be transforming a unique loft space in Shoreditch into intimate gig venue for a handful of lucky fans. Line-up includes Belgian mash-up maestros and stadium DJ double act 2manydjs (who are going rummaging through Oxfam’s record section to unearth hidden gems), a b2b set from Skream and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs; acoustic folk-rock from Dry the River; pop-starlet Eliza Doolittle, electro-duo NYPC and sun-drenched Balearica from Chad Valley to name a few.
