Looking for a new start in the new year?  Come say hi.  We’re looking for a music-savvy PR Account Manager/Publicist to join our growing team.   Working across all of our clients and in-house projects, you’ll be based in our Dalston office, overlooking Hackney Downs.

The Role

PR (50%)

  • Music and entertainment-focused PR campaigns across national, lifestyle and specialist media
  • Continually building relationships with contacts across print, broadcast and online
  • Maximising social media opportunities
  • Setting up and managing media partnerships
  • Researching and writing press releases for range of campaigns
  • Day-to-day contact with media in and out of the office
  • Writing weekly reports for client projects

 

 Account Management (30%)

  • Client handling – managing relationships with clients from brand, events, charity sectors
  • Team management – Nurturing others and further developing your people management skills
  • Reporting and evaluating work thoroughly

 

 Live Events (10%)

  • Managing teams and media at live events
  • Managing on-site press office functions
  • Talent-liaison and media briefings

 

New Business Support (10%)

  • Research
  • Contributing to brainstorms and developing ideas
  • Helping to write and deliver pitches

 

The Person

  • Minimum 3 years experience in PR, preferably with music/entertainment experience
  • Proven knowledge of and passion for music
  • An understanding of brands and how they operate within the cultural worlds
  • Highly competent copywriting skills – able to adapt style and tone for different clients/projects
  • Super organized, motivated and results-orientated
  • Strong media contacts – a proven record of flourishing in a media-facing role
  • Proactive and able to use initiative to make things happen
  • Interest and knowledge of emerging digital opportunities
  • Adaptable multi-tasker
  • Passionate about live events, marketing and media
  • Highly active and personally interested in the music/cultural scenes

 

Education 

2:1 University Degree preferred

 

Salary

Dependent on experience

 

Term & Working Hours

3-4 days a week, moving to permanent in May 2017

9.30 – 18.00 plus evening and event work
